Laczkó is twenty-three years old, but one might say he is six. They are right; he is very small compared to his peers of his age since he was malnourished and seriously neglected in his first five years.
Children like him, neglected, abandoned, left alone are adopted by the Orbán Foundation and are being taken care of with the help of individual donors. Since the fall of communist regimes, children with serious disabilities were taken out from the hostile environment of the hospitals where they were kept hidden, often tied to their little beds. Most of them have several disabilities and their overall health is endangered by malnutrition and maltreatment. The Orbán Foundation is the driving force in the region that helps to create a place where children with disabilities have their rights realized. We feel relieved by seeing them living a decent life as it hurts us to see them being pushed aside. These children need home, food, education, rehabilitation and we provide these essential services on a daily basis. We can do this all with your help. They do not have other possibility as there is no other organization offering home for them in the region.
