Children from institutions of the communist era come from very disadvantaged circumstances; they usually did not have any childhood and they grew up without too much sensory stimulation. Those grown up in families are in better situation, but still the parents are so overwhelmed with duties that quality free-time is not a top priority.
This is the main reason we quite often organize short trips to the surrounding woods, we take the children swimming, horse riding. Horse riding is extremly beneficial for the development of a child. The horse takes the steps making it similar to regular walking, thus embedding the right walking pattern in the brain of the child. Other than this, interaction with a big animal, feeling the horse is all in favour of development, but above all: lots of fun!

We organize camps and take the children to various places so they can see new aspects of the world. Outdoor learning has been proved to be pretty efficient, however, we are still at the level of catching up with lost childhood and building confidence.
